Tennessee Real Estate Errors and Omissions
Insurance Program
Williams Underwriting Group (WUG) is pleased
to announce real estate errors and omissions coverage in 2009 for all
Tennessee licensees.
Williams Underwriting has been providing
quality claims-made E&O insurance coverage to licensees in
state-mandated real estate errors and omissions programs since 1991.
We have teamed up with an A.M. Best A+ (Superior) rated insurance company to
provide the coverage you have been accustomed. Our coverage meets the
requirements established be the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. In
addition, we include coverage's (at no additional charge) that are either
not contained in the state-contracted program or require an additional
premium. We have also made arrangements to certify your coverage
directly to the Real Estate Commission. There are no certification
forms that you need to complete or submit.
If you are an employing broker and your firm
is a corporation, LLC or a partnership you may purchase separate policies
for your individual license and for your firm license.
All premiums are fully earned once coverage
goes into effect.
If your current policy expires (expired) on
01-01-2009, you needed to purchase your replacement coverage by 01-31-09.
Any payment received after 01-31-2009 would result in the loss of any
previously established retroactive date (prior acts coverage). Your
new effective and retroactive date will be the 1st of the month
in which your payment is received. Further, any gaps in coverage could
result in your license being put on an inactive status by the Tennessee Real
Estate Commission. ( The prior acts warning only applies to coverage
purchased through Williams Underwriting Group. Other insurance
companies will have their own requirements. )
NOTICE:
By enrolling online, you agree that there
will be a $5.00 online convenience fee added to your premium.
If you have applied for E&O coverage
elsewhere and would rather purchase coverage through Williams Underwriting
Group simply notify the other carrier in writing that you request a refund
of the premium paid. This request for refund must be made no later
than December 31, 2008. Request for refund after December 31, 2008 may
not be honored.
